New affordable housing will be made available in Glebe – including 13 places that are adaptable for elderly or disabled residents.

Based at the old Harold Park site, City West Housing’s design will add 76 new apartments, including one, two and three bedrooms as well as studios to its portfolio, to be made available to those on low incomes.

Janelle Goulding, chief executive of City West Housing, said homelessness in Australia is increasing at an exponential rate and the availability of affordable housing is a huge issue in Sydney. The problem is only going to get worse, she said.
